Curiosity and Ignorance
I believe its human nature to be curios about each others story. What do they do? Why do they…? Often when I’m out and about I look at a home and wonder what is the story of the people that live there. Its easy to imagine on a cold wintery night on the highway seeing a warm glow from a house a warm firm a comfortable chair a cup of coco a good book or good company. But who knows.
My wife and I were in the grocery store and this woman would not stop staring at me. My wife remarked perhaps she is just curious wondering:
What is my story?
What is wrong with me?
What happened to him?
That must suck!!
I couldn’t live like that!
Curiosity and ignorance is all good.
I admit I get fatigued of being the nice blind guy sometimes. I had an opportunity recently to answer some questions a young girl was asking her dad. They were sitting next to my wife and eye and McDonalds. I wasn’t in the mood to be a ambassador for the blind and a blindness teacher. In advance I ask for your tolerance and forgiveness. I do get curiosity fatigued sometimes. Most of the time I will answer almost any and all questions.
