Dating DONE

I had some feedback recently that they hoped I find the person I was looking for. In retrospect I can see why people for a time thought my blog was about my adventures in dating. Well for clarification. My blog is not about dating but about my experience with blindness.

Dating DONE Podcast
The point of the blog ultimately is to show that blind people live lives as well. Ultimately we share the same experiences and joys and pains as most people. Blind people do experience life events differently but ultimately we do share the events themselves.

Talking about dating was a big deal for me for a time. I had a lot to grieve. A divorce and a couple of failed relationships. I learned a lot about myself.

I finally figured out that people want to be with me and are interested in me.

I finally figured out that I am desirable and people want to be my partner.

Yes I grew up a little and developed some self esteem. Still working on that one. I’m sure there will be many posts on self esteem building.

At this point I have found a new partner. If your following the blog I’m sure you’ve clued into that one. Yes we are engaged. Yes we are planning on sharing the rest of our lives together. She is the first person I see in the morning and the last person I see at night. I will post pictures of the wedding.

If I do end up talking or focusing on dating again. You’ll know I’ve shared another experience that sighted people have, a broken heart. Here is hoping praying that I don’t ever have to talk about dating again. In the context of myself of course, there are after all my children to talk about.
